Learn to Draw

Service Description

In this class, we will discuss and practice different techniques which can help anyone learn to draw, or improve their current skill level–even those who “can’t even draw a stick figure." This class focuses on the fundamentals of learning to draw. That means that students who have never learned to draw well are more than welcome--this is the perfect class to get started! However, drawing fundamentals are great to practice even for more accomplished artists. All skill levels are welcome! Students will learn techniques to improve their perception of the world around them, and then translate that into lines on paper. They’ll also learn basic artistic vocabulary and apply it in discussion and practice. At the end of this course, students will have a solid artistic foundation for creating beautiful representational art, as well as an improved understanding and perception of the world around them. Supply List: Really, just the basics! -Sketchbook or drawing pad--size based on personal preference, noting that some class exercises will use 8.5x11 printed pages -drawing pencil(s) and sharpener if needed -eraser -Other lesson-specific materials will be brought by the teacher
